Picture rules?
I was going to post a small project I recently completed, but I can't find any rules or constraints concerning the picture posting. I have an external hosting server that I host the pictures from and I mainly have the pictures at 800 x 600 pixels. I didn't want to just go ahead and start posting pictures if they are too big though.
Another forum I belong to actually resized a number of my pictures today on a thread I have going for a stand and canopy build for a 75 gallon aquarium. |

Hey, Biscuit and welcome to the forum. We really don't have any rules concerning picture sizes, your 800 x 600 should be just fine. Sometimes, the larger pictures may slow down other's downloads of your pages, that's a consideration when linking.
We'll look forward to seeing your projects. All the best, Don

Thanks Don!
I'll post the pics with a 56K warning in the title of the thread and if they are a problem I'll resize them and upload them to my server. I have posted the same size picture in another forum I frequent (unrelated to woodworking) and I haven't had any complaints yet. If they are a problem for some reason, just let me know. I aim to please. |
