Hardware for chest of drawers

My fiance and I recently purchased a chest of drawers that did not have any hardware. The drawers were predrilled for handles and the holes are 4 1/2" apart and I have looked and looked and cannot find any hardware that size. Am I going to have to redrill to fit smaller hardware?

Hey, Jo-nate and welcome to the forum. I'm sure others will come in with places that have it online. That size should certainly be available. One option to consider while looking however is hardware that has a backplate, many do. This might give you a better local selection and cover the existing holes as well, you'd still have to re-drill at least one hole depending on the coverage.

Thanks dawjr! I figured that might be the way to go. The other chests like ours had those type of handles on them. We got our without the hardware because it was about $200 cheaper. But I will be looking for the kind you suggested. Thanks again!

Welcome Jo-nate.

Kinda late to the party, but try Woodcraft. That place has everything, including stuff I'm still not sure what its for.

Try woodcraft.com and see if you find what you need. There's probably a local store near you.

Geesh, sounds like a commercial, and I don't even work there or own stock!

Welcome Jo-nate

TM is right . I just got the Woodcraft catalog. They should have something to solve the hardware issue.
PS: We love pictures.

Wish I had a WC store near me.
