Just curious if Woodcraft is a national chain. I know there's quite a few locations in the Midwest like Indianapolis, Louisville, St. Louis, and even Evansville. I make reference to this great store all the time, but I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew what I'm talking about.

Wow, there's one right here in town, http://www.woodcraft.com/stores/store.aspx?id=542, I'll have to get by there and check it out. Especially since they have a coffin making class. I'll be sure and get the wife's measurements before I go. Thanks

That place is addictive... I'm pretty sure a crack-cocaine addiction would be cheaper too!

You know they're big if one's located in Oklahoma.

It's kinda like Paris in the summer. Like to visit, but too expensive to live there.

Heck, we've got one in Evansville... And we just got running water about 5 years ago!

Went to mine today at lunch, what a great place - anyone that has one within a reasonable distance should go. Could have spent a few hundred easily but held off for just $39.00 in doo-dads. Going back to get the floor mats, grinder and pedistal soon!

And the wood they have there is to die for!

Thanks for "turning" me on to the place, (not really)

If youse guys and gals want good reading material, that's free; yes FREE; go to their website and order the Woodcraft Catalog. It provides hours of entertainment.

I've decided I want one of everything, even the stuff that I have no clue what it is.

I'm still PO'd that my Woodcraft doesn't have the hot chick working there anymore!

Hot chick and woodworking tools, how could you stand it?

She worked there the entire time my ex and I went out and even looking was strictly forbidden... We broke up and the hot chick was gone. I think it's a conspiracy!

Festool, there is a topic worthy of conversation. I've heard great things but haven't shelled out for them.

My Brother bought a festtool saw, with the guide as he was doing a bunch of doors , best tool I have seen for doing door trimming work.

Very impressive and if I ever got a bit more serious I would have a serious look at Festool.

Just got back from there, again. Doggone you guys for turning me on to them. New workbench floor mats and a sale on a steel box full of brad point bits, only $30.00

Next, a new jointer, a woodworking vise, a new grinder and pedestal, maybe one day a planer.

You're BUSTED, fella! You shouldn't leave the Forum open on the computer. Okay, what's the total you spent? How many days at the Spa will that buy me, leftover change to go for new shoes!!

Just kidding, Champ. Just make me something nice!

Went there Saturday, and dropped some coin... Just too tempting. Went in for some CA glue, and wound up watching them turn pens for a while. Then bought another $50 worth of stuff. :D

Technically, each store is an independently owned franchise of a privately owned corporation headquartered in Parkersburg, WV

I actually looked in to opening a Woodcraft store at one time until I found out the price tag on opening a franchise. Nevermind.

Envy is a sin, I know. But I envy you guys that have a Woodcraft store.
I have the woodcraft web site as my home page. I'm in Wasilla AK. We got a Walmart, Home-depot & Loews all in about the past 3 years. (plus at least 2 traffic light for each)
I just got back into woodworking last month (was working for pay now working for free) after I built a shop. I find lots of dream stuff a woodcraft but have found it cheaper for me to order the same thing through Amazon. (shipping also cheaper).
To actually go into the store & touch & feel the tools must be awesome especially if they have a hot chick working there. I'm waiting for the catalog. I live in God's country (in the summer) but would be in Heaven if a Woodcraft & a Costco would build here.
