Hello
I have noted that planters for plants are narrow and tall; but roots are wide!
WE are retiring to New Mexico and I plan to build a series of concrete planters that will be both low and wide, like the roots' structure. The planters of this dimension are unbelievably expensive. So, using plywood as a form, I wish to create low planters as a form and use them to create concrete planter boxes. I want the planters to be rectangular 2' x 8' and 1 foot tall. I want the angle of the planter (base to top) to rise at a 30 degree angle. In order to join the four rectangular sides of the plywood the cuts will need to be compound cuts. I don't know how to do this to get the right angles and they will have to be perfect since there will be heavy concrete poured into these forms to create the shapes I wish to have.
These dimensions ( exterior ) do not have to be exactly 2 x 8, but the cuts have to be correct to achieve my shape. I could use some help in this matter. I shall be forming some steel on the exterior of the plywood when joined so the joints can take the pressure of the concrete when we are pouring, and forming this shape.
Thanks in advance,
Geneso
