Buying wood online

Got a couple of projects I would like to start but am not real happy with the quality of wood I’ve been able to find in my area. I am contemplating buying some wood online but am nervous of buying sight unseen. Was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with buying wood online? If so, was it a good experience and with who?

I have not yet, and don't know anyone locally that has. But, I would almost bet that anyone that is in this business, such as Aircraft Spruce, would understand your concerns about this and work to exceed your expectations. All it would take is for you to be unhappy with what you recieved, post it here, and there name is mud as far as this group is concerned. I'm sure it will cost a bit more for this service, but you would have access to wood that you probably can't get anywhere else.
