Hey, Guys. Use this area to post pictures, question and thoughts about your shop. Thinking of building a shop? Do you have a unique shop? What did you build your shop out of? Is yours heated? Cooled? What do you wish you had done differently?
All the best, Don

I built a 36' X 52' mono slab. 32 X 36 is heated & 12' ceilings with one garage door for MY truck. 20' X 36' is not heated & storage with garage door. (Toy box side)
wood 6" walls. All elect outlets are 48" above the floor & used 12/3 with a ground romex to each wall with many 4 X outlets. Some have switches that control outlets in the ceiling for additional lights (track light for extra lighting of tools if needed). Each wire run (12/3)can be 20 amp 230V or 120V at each outlet box. Ceiling fan for uniform temp. Windows 8' up with light difuser over windows for privacy. 48" man door.
Wish I had run some plastic conduit under the slab from Elect panel to each wall (save wire cost & could run #10 or #12 wire or larger if I wanted a welder)
Also wish I had run 1/2" black pipe from where the compressor is to the middle of each wall. Now I have to run air overhead.
I Should have ran a beam down the middle tied into the trusses to mount a small "I" beam for a trolly & chain hoist. (too old to lift outboard motors etc)
Truck side, 8' up is 2' wide, double storage shelves with plastic curtains, tied into the trusses. (don't want to use up floor space & curtains keep most of the dust out)
Built in my radial arm saw in the middle of 36' wall & built in drawers under a 40" high bench that runs 30 feet, so I can cut 6" off of a 16' 2X4 without opening the door.
Cover bench with locking 1/4' thick flooring (fake wood) but slick so stuff slides easily. (left overs from remodel projects)
Hung moose, sheep, goat & caribou horns on the front wall over " my " desk with room to spare. (sorrrrrrry to say but I had to put in a phone)
Built a closet for my work clothes, boots & outdoor equipment.
When I move out of my "wife's garage", I found stuff I'd been looking for for years.
It's amazing to be able to find the tool or part you are looking for in seconds instead of hours.
Finished moving stuff in November. The Back wall is drill press, jointer, planer & shop smith.
When I figure out how to add pictures I'll post some.
Now in the process of planning/building a nice workbench.
I NEED TO ADD A FRIDGE FOR MGD (recommended for any shop) I left it outside yesterday & it froze.

My shop is 30' x 30' wood frame construction. Built to resemble house. It is all electric because we do not have natural gas available. My shop is equipped with two thru the wall a/c units. I have a 12' x 12' office in one corner that I operate my business's out of.
Working on installing a wood stove for economical heat. I just have to get the stove pipe and install it.
I have an 8' x 8' porch on the front that I still need to install the roof on.
I have most of the necessary tools except dust collector, band saw, jointer which are on the future purchase list.
I will post pics as soon as I finish my current projects and can clean up a little.
