Hi all,
Here is a simple library unit I made for my husband to put up all his books that were in every corner of the house:).

Right now trying to recuperate from a spinal fusion. This is my 3rd and hopefully last back surgery. I’m not sure what to do with myself until I can get back to my shop. I guess talk about it? I’m so impressed with everyone’s work here I feel a little out of place.

Ouch! Hope your back troubles ease up a bit for ya. You shouldn't feel out of place, we all started somewhere with fewer skills than we have now. The very reason for a forum like this is to help each other with our common interest in woodworking. Besides, I seem to recall seeing a fairly spectacular library unit you built. Not sure what you should feel out of place about. :D

I'm with Dag, you've built some very nice projects.
My goodness, so sorry to hear about the surgeries; I hope all gets cured and fixed and you're up and around in your shop soon. :)
Until then, its talk about woodworking. Can be just as satisfying at times. I'm amazed at what some of the members here build and the quality of work performed. Just like your library unit. The skill is very good. Gee, the last time I built a bookcase, I used the framing nailer and 2x4s.
Anyway, get well soon and back in the shop!

I love woodworking but have only completed a few projects and most of those are audio speakers for other people. My shop is a small shed (10'x10') and not heated so finishing projects is tough.
Here's a picture of one speaker. When I finished the pair they were used in a co-workers recording studio.

Here's another picture of the speaker with my daughters in it for scale. The girls are playing "Little House on the Prairie" dress up or something like that. In real life the color is more acurate in the first picture, this pic seems washed out.

How much sugar did you feed the one on the left? :D
Speaker looks nice... Good ol' Dayton Reference series drivers? Nice!

I started this hobby about four years ago. But I think it has become an obsession.I am in my shop 7 days a week.
Furniture is my passion.Wood is my best friend. But I am over run with projects.
My wife designed a website to show my work but we have
not received many comments from viewers.
So WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE??????????? http://bstwoodworks.com/

Hi Ric
It does become an obsession. I started about 15 years ago and learn something new each day. Furniture is also my big thing and I also love my wood. Wood doesn't talk back or give you a hard time...LOL

Here's part of my "overall project"
I promised a bedroom set to my son if he gave me a grandchild.
(he buys materials)
My grandson is 6 months old, so I need to get going.
I built these two endtables last winter.
Here's the construction, if you're interested

Very nice JC!
Took a look at your construction pics, very cool.
Very well done and congrats. Looks like a good candidate for POM. Let's see if Dusty gets back to me.
