Hey, Guys. Looks like we've got some new members participating as well as the "regulars". Thanks for keeping the forum busy and watching out for spammers and the like.

I lost my job the end of October and have been on a 1-1/2 month sabbatical, if you can call working around the house a rest at all. I've reassured myself of one thing - I can't work for myself. I'm a terrible boss and would easily kill myself. No rest, no food, no fun (well, a little). But, a few projects did advance quite a bit. I'll post pictures soon.

Having lost a dream of a job due to the housing bust - I'm off on new adventures. I'm now part of the team at a local mill-work house. My mandate is to get them up to speed on modular building of casework. They have the machines and software, they just need tweaking. Stuff I like to do. I'll post pictures and progress as it happens.

The wife and I had a bit of a holiday, thanks to a generous neighbor and his recently acquired 40' Bluebird. It's no problem to drive as long as you can pilot your living room down the highway. Here's a pic of the equipment heading up into Georgia.

Anyway - I've got an office once again and will have the chance to sit down once in a while and visit with you guys. I simply wouldn't stop long enough while I was at home to do it. Let's keep this thing going, okay?

All the best, Don

Hey Don:

Sorry to hear about your job loss, but really glad to hear you found something new and are enjoying it.

Man, it is my dream to own a home on wheels and travel across the country, soon. I hope you had a great time!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours and thanks for all your support and work on the forum.

Take care

Dan in Atlanta

A lot late to the party, but it sounds like you've landed on your feet Don. That's good to hear. It's tough everywhere right now. I get a real chuckle when the talking heads say that Oklahoma is recession proof; it may be for the oil execs, but for everyone else, scraping by is the name of the game. I'm working on my 4th home based business, and waiting for my bailout. I could be waiting awhile though.

It's good you got some time away with the wife. Good luck with your new gig.

Thanks Buddy. I'm into some new stuff and machines here that I think many will be interested to see. I'll post some soon.

All the best, Don
