Hey, Guys. Boy, times have changed, huh. In this first picture you can see the layout of the concrete pad where the front door and sidelights will be moved to.

This framing layout will be complicated because of the angles and angled roof that it will be butting into over head. Enter the computer and 3D program.

The program is Google Sketchup and is the best 3D program I've found (for free)

Every piece for edge bevels and compound cuts was sized on the computer and data transferred to the scales on the machines. Out of hundreds of cuts there were no recuts due to something being off. You would have had to be a geometry genius to figure this out on paper.

Seeing your projects always gets me in the mood to do more of this again! I enjoy doing it for the sake of doing it, but I've cut back on the pro-bono work I do... Which cuts out about 95% of the woodworking I do... Need richer friends! :D
