I saw a storage/charging station that mounts under cabinets several months ago on a flight I had to New York.

I thought that this was a really cool idea and the it stuck with me. The only thing is that the unit for sale is much too small. I decided to build a similar unit and make it big enough to charge our cell phones, cameras, GPS, PSP, etc.

Here are some pictures of the charging station nearing completion:

Basically, there are two powerstrips that mount inside of the back section of the charging station. All charging plugs plug into the strips and stay behind the door that I built.

Here are a few pics of the charging station mounted and fully stained with a tripple coat of poly:

Well done and good idea. That would solve the problem for the wife, either the charger or the phone is always missing.

Those picture sizes seem fine for cable.

Nice miters. I think the skill I am planning to work on is cutting miters better.

My miter cuts are actually very sloppy. I plan on building a miter sled for my table saw to make perfect miters. The key to my success with those sloppy miters is using a beasy band clamp to keep everything even while it glues together and then using a red oak colored putty filled into the gaps and sanded smooth. It works great to hide my imperfect miters.
