I ran across this forum when I was at the Factory Five Forum site. I was kind of surprised to see this link there. Any way, My name is Greg, I have been in the cabinetry field for about 28 years now. I am not doing much at this time though, I ruptured a disc in my lower back, last July. It looks like I will be forced to do some kind of work that is not so physical. I am still going to try to design and build cabinets and furniture for my self and friends when possible. Besides I have a Vette to keep up, and hope to get into a Cobra or GTM some time soon. I hope to maybe learn some stuff here or maybe pass on some knowledge. Greetings All:)

Welcome.
I also blown disk, 2 of them several years ago. Still can do what I want, just slower & smarter now.
Your 28 years of knowledge & experience will be appreciated on the site.
Iv'e learned allot here.
Seems slower now that spring is here (during the winter lots of chatter)but I think members still check in now & then.
Any way welcome.

Welcome Greg. FFCobra Bill owns these sites, the reason for the links. Glad to have you on another forum.

All the best, Don

Welcome,

I know all about the blown discs. Had problems with the L5, S1 years back. Luckily, I was able to avoid surgery. Still need to be careful with what I do.

There is a lot of great info on the forum. Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Hey Greg,

Sorry to hear of your back woes. Anyway, I'm just up the road in Corvallis. I've had my own shop for 14 years now, or is it 15? What kind of stuff were you doing?

Custom Cabinets and Furniture, the last ten years with The Cabinet Factory. High end stuff. I also do, or did:(, side jobs as well. I prefer Craftsman, Shaker, but have done every thing under the sun with wood. Just another form of art to me. I grew up drawing, sketching, oil painting, carving, etc... Now days I'm working on my 89 Vette to pass the time. I have thought about working for my self. It kind of depends on where AIG and workmans comp. takes me now, just not sure. I checked out your website, realy nice jobs!!! I wished I would have taken photos of mine over the years. 20/20
