Hey:
I have been looking for a drum sander for a while and will use it mostly for cutting boards.

Does anyone have any experience with this model or type of sander?

Seems simple and I think it would work for what I want, but need some advise from you guys with much more experience than me.

Here is the link:

Thanks in advance for the help and take care :D

I have a Ryobi 16-32, got it from a friend who couldnt get the hang of it. It did take me awhile to master it and a lot of expensive paper. Now its all I use for finishing 90 per cent of what I make. It takes very little work with the ROS before I apply the finish. Don:)

Seems kind of pricey for a build your own. The concern I would have here would be that you are mostly using hardwoods (cutting boards) and the power may not be what you need. If you are on a budget, look for a decent used performax 16X32. That will likely work out better for you and in teh long run you will be happier. I have a performax 16X32 and it is a great machine. Once you get one, you will wonder how you lived without one. Good Luck.
