I just received a private message from James that was a religious message. This happened at another site which I frequent and I believe the moderators cancelled his right to post.
Is this site allowing messages of this nature?
I did put him on my ignore list for now but am concerned about any possible effects and/or viruses.

Let's keep an eye on it. I wouldn't worry about catching anything through people posting or private messages on or through the forum. Only if you are pulled into private e-mails, download outside data or visit prompted sites.
