Hi All,
I've checked out all the 12" disk Sanders out there, and the one that seems to fit my style is the Delta 12" disk sander, it has a cast iron table and disk, although the motor is only 1/2 horse. However I've tried everyplace to find it and it's out of stock no mater where I look! So now what, :confused:I need a machine like this with a 12" disk. I could get a jet, but who wants to pay $350. for a tool that I'll only use occasionally. Oh well, I guess I'll wait till the Delta comes back in stock.
What types of disk sanders do you guys have?

If you only anticipate using a disc sander occasionally, one option is to buy a 10" metal sanding disc for your table saw. They accept PSA discs and cost less than $20. You can see them on the Woodcraft website.

I've got an old craftsman belt/ disk sander. It's a stout old dude. 6" belt, 9" disc. I really need to get a new belt though. Getting tired of smelling burnt rubber.
