Just saying hello. New to the board, first time post. I've perused this board from time to time, just figured it's time to jump on in. Not a professional woodworker, just part time doer - even for money sometimes. I've made a few items - fish tank stand, cheval mirrors, shelving, bathroom stand, entertainment centers, etc. Nothing to fancy as I use my garage as a shop and only do it in the evenings and on weekends. I've been working with curly maple, ash, oak and a little mahogany lately.

Edit: A little background - Born and raised Nebraska Cornhusker farmboy. Retired 21 years army. Work for Honeywell on FT Campbell for a day job. Woodworking - other than college football and my family - my only interest.

Welcome Todd
I'm not sure what a cheval miror is.
Show us some pictures of your projects.
Careful, those Tennessee hillbillies don't rub off on you. ( I'm originally from WV).
Honewell eh, are you a tech?
Again welcome to the fun & knowledge on this forum. (love Curly maple :) )

I would put up some photos but most of the stuff I made was built and sent out the door. My digital camera broke awhile back and I'm finding it kinda hard spend more to replace a 550.00 dollar camera when a camera that costs that much should last at least 4-5 years. I'll eventually get one though. I got a few photos taken by a couple of customers. One is a cheval mirror I built out of curly maple. The images are fuzzy and poor. The others are of an oak shelf made for a guy that had a bunch of unit coins (army thing, have a bunch myself) he wanted to display. Once I figure out how to post them here< I'll just have to provide a link. Also, nevermind the date stamp on the mirror photos, the guys camera had it's own problems. It was made last November/December.

Edit: Heres a link to photos of a couple of projects I've made:
