Do you have the kind of shop other woodworkers like to visit? Is your shop filled with clever ideas that help you work smarter, faster, or safer? Have you designed and built special tool racks, machine bases, cabinets, jigs, or other shop helpers you think your fellow woodworkers would find interesting? If so, the editors at WOOD magazine invite you to submit your workshop or individual shop projects for review for possible publication in future editions of America's Best Home Workshops. Your shop doesn't have to be big, or nit-picky clean. The ideas could be storage solutions, task-specific jigs, shop tips, or the special way you designed, built, and outfitted your shop. To submit your shop click here (http://www.woodmagazine.com/wood/story.jsp?storyid=/templatedata/wood/story/data/1129152374140.xml).

Hey, Marlen. Thanks and welcome to the forum. Sounds like a good challenge and offer. Some of the guys here have nice shops and are extremely creative.

Okay, guys. Let's see who among us can get some national exposure - good luck.

All the best, Don

Thanks Don, we're just in the process of finalizing the second edition of this magazine and will be starting on issue 3 shortly. In addition to entire shops, we are also looking for unique individual shop organizers, workbenches, tool holders, clamp racks, lumber supports, and other projects that make your shop special. Even if you've only got one unique shop project, just visit our submission page (http://www.woodmagazine.com/wood/story.jsp?storyid=/templatedata/wood/story/data/1129152374140.xml) for details to submit. The editors of WOOD magazine would love to tout your stuff to a national (and international audience). Thanks for allowing me to post this. Marlen @ WOOD

Sounds like it's time to show off that museum piece Bogy.

Hey, Guys. This is an opportunity similar to 'American Idol' for woodworkers. I believe some of you guys; Dag, Bogy, mmwood, turn two and others, have a great shot at some national exposure. Bogy especially, since the WOOD magazine guys would have an excuse to go to Alaska! We've discussed ways to improve your hobby and business and this is a great shot - think out of the box on this one guys. Don't be shy, you are going to miss all of the shots you don't take.

If you have that particular piece that; you want to sell the plans to, sell kits of, sell parts of, or sell outright. If you want national exposure for your work. Get some traffic at your site. Something as simple as the dodecahedron project is enough to get attention, spur discussion, challenge others, etc.

Think about it and let's keep this thread alive - if one of us wants/decides to take their challenge, let the rest of us know. I know that everyone here would support you and give ideas. Don't feel that you are not worthy or unique enough, that's for them to decide.

All the best, Don
