Blue Ray is the future. As for the best, Blue Ray movies are absolutely amazing. The clarity and color are unmatched.

As for more movies? I haven't had trouble finding any movie in either version. Now downloads for Blue Ray though take longer cause they're gigs of information. But the wait is well worth it.

Just bought an HD-DVD from Best Buy, got the Toshiba unit and seven free HD movies. The tech specs as far as HD output are the same. HD is about half the cost for the equipment but the movies cost about the same. The picture is tits ahoy on a DLP unit. No complaints. I don't know who has the most movies, but Netflix will send you HD or BlueRay automatically depending on the equipment you tell them you have. No extra cost.
