Just a few pics of the damage around these parts. Electric is out at the house, but is still on at the office. So far the news says that 480,000 people are without power right now. Estimates range from 7 to 10 days before power is restored. We've had our share of ice storms, especially a bad one in 2002. But I don't think I've ever seen this many trees break apart. Some have split down the middle, and some split in fourths down the middle. Very wild.

Anyway, just a few pics while I'm at the office and have access to the net.

This is one of many that have hit my house. The rest have slid off, but this one stayed.

This one is out front of the house.

Backyard shots. The electric and cable lines can be seen on the ground.

Well, woodworking has certainly been stifled for a few days. Although I did get out in the shop for awhile last night. Messing around the shop by candlelight is actually pretty interesting. Lost my beer a few times though.

Have a good one, and talk to you guys and gals soon.

Ouch, that looks bad. Looks like landscapers will be in high demand come spring.

Thanks for the pictures. Incredible. Better than the news.
Hope all OK now.

Are y'all thawing out yet? The weather said y'all were starting to warm above freezing.

Hey guys,

The power came back on yesterday ( a total of 9 days without) (and some parts still don't have power, the electric company ran out of transformers).

Really appreciate the kind words from everyone.

Yeah, the temp is giving us a false sense of security. Its supposed to be 60 degrees today, but another storm coming in over the weekend.

That being without power really sux. The funny thing is, now I've got to clean up the shop from the mess I made during the power outage.
