Hi, I am new here. Just found this site today.

I have a woodcrafts shop and need a bit of advice on putting in windows on a new shop. The shop is built, all but the windows. My dad is the window man, but he not in the best of health and can't get out in this icky weather to help me out.

Any suggestions on how to install windows easily?

Most new construction I've seen, it's simply a matter of shimming the window in the rough opening so that it is square and plumb -- then nail the flange (2" roofing nails) to the exterior sheathing surrounding the opening.

Hey, Jwood and welcome to the forum. Tell us a little more about the type of construction of the shop and what kind of windows you have.

If it's typical frame and sheathing construction, then what "old guy" said will get you going once the opening has been cut out in the sheathing. Depending on your siding type, case around the opening then butt the siding to that and caulk.
