Finally in the finishing stages of a project I've been working on for awhile now. While I do love woodworking, I also, enjoy restoring vintage woodworking tools and machines. The latest in this regard is a Delta/Rockwell Homecraft 11" Drill Press. As best as I can find out, it ages out at roughly early 1947 or '48.
When I bought this machine, it wasn't really in that bad of a condition; it needed a bearing (which a good substitute had to be found) and a major cleaning. During the process, it also got a paint job. I'm not a traditionalist when it comes to paint schemes and sticking with "original" colors. Old Delta gray gets old to me. ;)
Anyway, these are before pics

I'm still not done with the motor, but by this weekend this vintage machine should be up and operational.
And then its back to wood!
