Here is a project I did for my wife. It was to be a simple end table but turned into my bedside table in our new home for now. It is 100% Eastern white pine. There are no fasteners, only wood and glue.
The face frame is all mortise and tenon jointery, the drawers are all dovetailed and they slide on oak dovetail slides. The back of the cabinet is tongue and groove pine planks.
This project was one of those "be one with the wood" projects. I rubbed in 4 coats of BLO followed by 15 coats of 50/50 naptha/Poly applied with 0000 steel wool.

Sweet! Nice job Dag. I'm envious of those dovetails, they're purrrfect!
I see what you mean with your "be one with the wood" on the finishing. It glows like silk.

Thanks :D I must admit the dovetails were done with a router and machine. No hand cutting here!
Very well done, I like the base design, the small drawers are perfect for a bedroom cabinet.

I don't know that I've ever seen pine look so good! Beautiful job.

Thanks guys. I did enjoy building that piece quite a bit. I can't wait to build my shop so I have a place to work on projects without having to clean up after each night so I can put the cars in. :D

Wow, 19 coats of finish.
That's one with the wood & then some.
Sure beautiful.
Anybody with a Cabela's hat is OK in my book!
Know exactly what your saying about the shop vs garage.
Sometimes you have to clean the garage before you can begin working then move stuff around so you can get the cars in. (Over & over)

Well, to be fair the finish was wipe on so the actual accumultion of finish is probably only half that but still, I did get a little out of hand :)

Beautiful work Dagster!
Hey, I notice the flooring you have there is the same kind we were looking at installing in our house. The flooring guy said that we don't want to put it in the bathrooms.
What has been your experience with this?
